Taylor said this experience is like nothing she has ever done before.
Taylor Kirby is our AmeriCorps Member spotlight of the week. Taylor is serving at the Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity in the Volunteer Services capacity. She started serving last month and said she was inspired to serve by her sister who served with NCCC and VISTA. Taylor said this experience is like nothing she has ever done before. Every day there is something new to learn, a new experience and a new perspective. She likes serving with Habitat for Humanity because she enjoys giving families the opportunity for a better place to live. Her typical day is arriving at 7:30 to look at emails where she spends most of her morning returning those emails and phone calls, updating volunteer contacts and obtaining waivers for those volunteers.
